THE SAME NAME COMES BACK

Taylor Swift

Describe ItOne WordAct It

By Round Three, your team has heard this name before. That is where the chaos starts.

The clue changes.
The names don’t.

Celebrity Salad gets funnier because everybody is building the same shared memory. A clue that barely works in the first round can become enough to trigger an instant answer by the third.

ROUND ONE

Describe It

Say anything you like except the celebrity’s name. Fast clues, strange associations and the first in-jokes of the night.

ROUND TWO

One Word

The same celebrities return, but now you get one clue word. Context and memory start doing most of the work.

ROUND THREE

Act It

No words. Just commit. Your team has already seen every name twice, so terrible acting can somehow make perfect sense.

Pass the phone.
Keep the party moving.

The app handles the admin without turning the night into a screen-based game. Everyone stays in the room, one device moves between players, and the game keeps time and score.

    Add your players

Four or more works best. Use real names, nicknames or whatever your group actually calls each other.

  2. 2
    Build the Salad in private

Pass the iPhone or iPad around. Each player secretly adds celebrity names before handing it on.

  3. 3
    Build two to four teams

Start with two balanced teams, then rename, rebalance or add teams before the first turn starts.

  4. 4
    Play the names three times

Describe them, reduce every clue to one word, then finish by acting them out. The app carries the score between rounds.

You might already know the game.

Different groups use different names for this party-game family. At heart, they share the same idea: one pool of names, competing teams and repeated rounds with tighter clue rules.

Celebrity Salad turns the paper-and-bowl version into a native Apple-device game while keeping the pass-the-device, face-to-face feel.
